Key responsibilities



- Handle other duties as necessary



- Help payroll manage all internal and external audits



- Reconciling of employee deductions and other liabilities



- Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies



- Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities



- Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures



- Manage payroll information requests and questions



- Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines



- Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers



- Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads



- Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages



- Proper payroll information maintenance by collecting, calculating, and entering data



- Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence



- Manage and review, including verify, source documents

- Expertise in bi-Monthly Payroll - Foundational knowledge in garnishments payroll - Strong familiarity with payroll systems for 100-500 employees - Reconcile Payroll experience highly desired - ADP Online experience - Certified Payroll Professional will be given preference - Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills - Capable of managing high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll - Excellent data entry skills - Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills - Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Knowledge of internal controls - Prior experience working with accounting software
