Job Description:

The Sr. Project Manager, Visual Merchandising is one of two Project managers in the VM Department that will handle domestic accounts. They will manage all directives, seasonal merchandising updates, and new project launches for their assigned retailer channels. Reporting to and partnering with the Director, Visual Merchandising & Operations, this role will own project management, design kickoff through execution, schedules, budgets, logistics, and all operational aspects of seasonal updates and secondary units for assigned retail accounts.

Essential Job Functions
Drive and partner with Sales & Marketing on assortment planning for seasonal updates, secondary exposures, and gondola overhaul.
Own gondola updates and execution process, from kickoff through production for assigned retailers.
Own and modify planograms for assigned retailers.
Manage internal timeline for Visual Merchandising execution, partnering with Marketing & Sales.
Partner with, and give direction to 3-D designer to create renderings for assortment planning and presentation.
Kick off seasonal updates with graphic designers and ensure updates are completed on time.
Track preliminary art schedule and work with designers to ensure graphics are released on time to vendor for proofs on correct substrates.
Manage budget for all assigned retailer updates by tracking estimates from vendors, compiling and communicating to team.
Strive to negotiate and produce cost savings on vendor contracts.
Value engineer gondolas, endcaps, and displays to maximize cost efficiencies and savings.
Own vendor kickoffs in addition to fixture and graphic prototyping through installation.
Communicate prototype feedback to vendor for fit and function.
Travel and conduct on-site prototype reviews at vendor as needed to ensure quality control and proper fit and function.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with cross-functional team members and key external business partners.
Leverage strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects at one time and deliver all projects on time and within budget.
Own the development and implementation of seasonal and visual merchandising guidelines to communicate projects effectively to the markets and cross functional teams.
Check quality of color proofs, prototypes, and execution to ensure all is implemented per ABH brand standards.
Direct all project phases from ideation to in-store execution and post-roll-out support, ensuring achievement of merchandising & strategic goals.
Responsible for budget tracking for assigned accounts and invoice/P.O. administration.
Travel to attend retailer reviews with Sales & Marketing as needed.
Partner with Director on Special Projects.
Collaborate and support other team members with additional projects when needed.

Bachelor's Degree in visual design, merchandising or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role in beauty visual merchandising.
Proven experience to lead and mentor direct reports.
Hands-on experience creating planograms for color cosmetics.
Must have experience and technical knowledge of production: print process & mechanicals.
Be positive, flexible and extremely well organized, ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond quickly to changing and challenging deadlines.
High attention to detail and project management. Must be able to manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously with short and long lead times to meet deadlines.
Experience working with vendors and understanding of VM fabrication, materials, and production processes.
Strong presentation skills in order to share finalized ideas and concepts to cross-functional partners in a clear and concise manner.
Experience in store planning and visual merchandising or retail design and knowledge of product placement at a retail level.
An excellent understanding of POS, and the ability to work closely within brand guidelines.
Excellent communication skills to develop close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of beauty industry and color cosmetics.
High sense of urgency and initiative to meet tight deadlines.
Proven skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience in SketchUp preferred.
