JOEY Restaurants first came to California in Woodland Hills in 2015, and in 2019 was joined by JOEY DTLA. Now, we are thrilled to bring The JOEY Restaurant Group to Manhattan Beach. Opening early 2021, JOEY Manhattan Beach will be nestled in the heart of Manhattan Village, a newly redesigned indoor-outdoor community showcasing the sophisticated casual charm of Manhattan Beach. With this expansion, comes the opportunity to invite new talent to join our team. We are looking for the best and brightest individuals to join a remarkable team of culinary leaders and restaurateurs to continue the JOEY Restaurants legacy in California. While these recent months have brought many unknowns to the hospitality industry, during this period, the JOEY Restaurant Group has continued to provide iconic hospitality to our guests through delivery, take-out business, and full patio service. Our Team is Virtually Interviewing for Line Cooks: As a Line Cook At JOEY * You will acquire the skills, knowledge, experience, and confidence needed to become a world-class cook and culinary leader. In addition to your on-going training you will have the opportunity to participate in the JOEY apprentice program, weekly in-store culinary competitions, quick-fire challenges and black-box challenges. Requirements Education, Experience and Competencies * 1-3+ years industry experience. * You are a leader and mentor. Others look up to you. * Youre good at leaving a positive and unforgettable impression. * You can hold your own in a fast-paced, high-stress, team-based environment. * You are genuine, warm and caring. * A strong passion to succeed and the willingness to learn and be coached by others. * A natural problem solver with an insatiable desire to impact performance. * Exceptional relationship building and communication skills. * Humility coupled with a good sense of humour.
