Employer West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is a referral center, primary care facility and teaching hospital with 24-hour emergency service. We have a staff of 49 veterinarians with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, behavior and rehabilitation/integrative medicine. Having just moved to a new 43,000 sq ft hospital earlier this year, we are now one of the largest hospitals in the country in what is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hospitals in the world. The large, 3-level hospital encompasses 9 state-of-the-art surgery suites; including suites dedicated to neurology, orthopedic and minimally invasive surgery. The hospital has 19 examination rooms, 2 medical procedure rooms, MRI, CT, a medical oncology suite (including our bone marrow transplant center), a radiation oncology suite housing a linear accelerator capable of IMRT, and a large physical therapy/rehabilitation center. Employer West LA has also just been named as one of 9 Veterinary Trauma centers in the United States. These hospitals will work collaboratively to define high standards of care and disseminate information that improves trauma patient management efficiencies and outcomes. We also have a thriving internship and residency program and would expect any specialist coming on board to play a part in their education. Individuals applying for this position should have strong interpersonal skills, a desire to teach, and a personality to deal with a large and varied caseload and clientele. We are looking for a personable, happy, charismatic individual with strong inter-personal skills who fits well within our family.
