Job Description:
The Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) will provide care for
the patient receiving dialysis, before, during and after the
dialysis treatment, under the direct supervision and delegation of
the acute inpatient dialysis Registered Nurse (RN). The dialysis
PCT will provide direct and non-direct patient care, under their
scope of practice, as deemed necessary by the acute inpatient
dialysis RN. In addition, the dialysis PCT will provide quality
assurance for machines and equipment in compliance with hospital
policy and federal regulations. PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional

verbal communications, interpersonal skills. Basic organizational
skills. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology,
infection control and safety practices. Clinical education related
to specialty. Principles of patient/family teaching. Required
Experience Required: Current hemodialysis technician certification
Current Basic Life Support Card Must obtain LA City Fire Card
within 6 months of employment Preferred: Acute care experience
