Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any
obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and
satisfaction. This opportunity involves working collaboratively
with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who
presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician
every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and
communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement,

the freedom to create their own schedules – typically seven 24-hour

month California Hospital Medical Center ’s (CHMC) Family Birth
Center has a team of specialists working seamlessly together to
make any expectant mother's childbirth experience a safe and joyful
experience. CHMC features a 26-bed, fully equipped Level III NICU,
offering the most advanced services needed for premature babies.
Currently, CHMC is building a state-of-the-art patient tower that
will completely modernize mother-baby care with 28 private
postpartum rooms, private NICU rooms, specially designed water
birthing suite (one of only a few in Los Angeles County), three
surgery suites, and a pregnancy care center with private triage.
CHMC currently performs approximately 2,593 annual deliveries and
4,983 triage visits.
