About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for an engaging locum tenens opportunity in California. This assignment begins on Dec 1, 2025, with a minimum contract length of 120 days and offers flexible scheduling for day shifts, Monday through Friday, with the option for a four-day workweek. The Psychiatrist will see primarily adult patients, with a similar need for child and adolescent populations, serving a majority lower-income community. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Dec 1, 2025 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Psychiatrist - Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm; open to four days per week; 12-16 patients per day; 60-90 minutes for new evaluations including dictation; 30 minutes for follow-ups Responsibilities and Duties - Provide psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care to adult and adolescent patients - Conduct comprehensive new evaluations with sufficient time for dictation - Manage a daily caseload of 12-16 patients, focusing on populations with lower income - Perform 30-minute follow-up appointments - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes - Utilize technology to maintain accurate and timely documentation - Adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment Additional Information - Must hold an active California medical license - Board certification in Psychiatry required - Open to new graduates - Candidates must be tech savvy and comfortable in fast-paced settings - Credentialing process estimated at 3-4 weeks; start date is flexible - Will consider filling need with two different Psychiatrists Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
