About The Position We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in California beginning Nov 17, 2025. This is a 260-day contract working day shifts, Monday through Friday, in an outpatient setting. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care to both new and established patients as part of a collaborative team. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Nov 17, 2025 - LOA: 260 days - Provider Type Needed: Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant - Schedule: Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities and Duties - Function as an independent provider within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting - Manage comprehensive patient care, including new consultations and follow-up appointments - Counsel and educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and symptom management - Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records - Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and strong problem-solving skills - Communicate effectively and maintain professionalism at all times Additional Information - At least one year of Hematology/Oncology experience preferred; strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered - Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program - Must hold a valid and unrestricted California PA license - Current National Board Certification (e.g., PA-C) - Current BLS certification required - Furnishing license required - DEA license must be obtained within 3 months of starting Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
