About The Position We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Nov 14, 2025, and spans a 16-day assignment, with 12-hour shifts from 11am to 11pm. The schedule includes 3-4 shifts per month, primarily during the latter half of November through January. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Nov 14, 2025 - LOA: 16 days - Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: 12-hour shifts (11am-11pm), 3-4 shifts per month, November through January, with a preference for the latter half of each month Responsibilities and Duties - Provide acute care to patients presenting with ESI triage level 3, 4, and 5 - Deliver high-quality emergency medical care under the direction of attending physicians - Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and transitions - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters - Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices within the emergency medicine setting Additional Information - Active California Nurse Practitioner license required - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) required - Demonstrated experience with acute care and emergency medicine cases - Strong communication and clinical assessment skills necessary Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
