About The Position We are seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Nov 17, 2025. This role offers a full-time Monday through Friday clinic schedule with weekend call coverage. You will provide care for a broad range of orthopedic cases, with a focus on sports medicine, total joints, trauma, and fracture management. Experience in sports medicine or rural health is highly valued. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Nov 17, 2025 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Orthopedic Physician Assistant - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours in clinic between two clinics; weekend call coverage Responsibilities and Duties - Evaluate and manage patients with orthopedic complaints, including sports injuries, total joint issues, trauma, fracture care, and non-operative spine conditions - Provide support for both elective sports medicine and total joint surgeries, as well as trauma cases - Participate in weekend call coverage as scheduled - Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive orthopedic care - Document clinical activities using the Cerner EMR system Additional Information - Required board certification: Orthopaedic Surgery - California license required - Sports medicine or FQHC/rural health experience is a plus Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
