  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 full years of experience.
    • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License.
    • COVID Vaccine Required.
    • C-section experience required: Circulating c-sections is required, scrubbing preferred.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 0645-1915, 1845-0715.
      • Floor specific orientation: 1-2 shifts.
      • Every other weekend.
      • 1 major, 1 minor in both winter and summer holidays.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # triage beds: 0.
        • # births per month: 60.
        • Certs: BLS, NRP, ACLS, advanced fetal monitoring.
        • Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2, they follow AWOHNN guidelines.
        • FHM System: Fetal link.
        • EMR: Cerner power chart.
        • Charge Nurse: Yes.
        • Nurse Aides/OB tech: 1 scrub tech.
        • Call Requirement: Not required but helpful if they're willing to take.
        • Floating: Will have to float to postpartum.
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: 14 weeks and above, high risk - preeclampsia, diabetes, infection, pre-term, abruption, substance abuse, no prenatal care.
          • Additional Details
          • Travel experience is preferred.
          • Permanent staff is very friendly and receptive to travelers.
