Our commitment to excellence and our passion for animal welfare drive everything we do.Job Description: We are seeking dedicated Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our Dentistry and Oral Surgery Department. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier veterinary care to our patients.Our Dentistry and Oral Surgery team is trained and equipped to handle all kinds of cases including traumatic skull and jaw fractures, prosthetic crowns, orthodontics, oral soft tissue surgery, periodontal diseases, endodontic disease, and tooth restoration. Your responsibilities will include:Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals.Assisting veterinarians with dental procedures, including, diagnostics, and treatments.Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition.Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery,Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.Qualifications:Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification required.2-3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician.Proficiency in performing nursing procedures, such as venipuncture, catheterization, and anesthesia monitoring.Experience with dental prophylaxis, radiographs, and various oral surgeries, is highly valued.Interest in advanced imaging modalities such as cone beam CT and their integration within the DOSS.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to providing excellent patient care and client service.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Continuing education opportunities to support professional growth and development.Generous pet care discounts for employees.Supportive and collaborative work environment with opportunities for advancement.If you're passionate about delivering top-tier veterinary care and want to unleash your full potential, apply today to join our team at VCA West LA Animal Hospital!We are a proud EEOC business.
