If you are passionate about supporting surgical procedures and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care, we encourage you to apply.*Job Description:*As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. Your role will involve preparing the operating room, ensuring the sterility of instruments, and providing direct support during surgeries. You will also help with patient positioning and post-operative care.*Key Responsibilities:** *Prepare Operating Rooms:* Set up and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures.* *Assist Surgeons:* Provide direct assistance to surgeons during operations, including handling instruments, suctioning, and ensuring the sterile field is maintained.* *Monitor Sterility:* Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment throughout the procedure.* *Patient Positioning:* Assist with positioning and draping patients to ensure optimal access and comfort during surgery.* *Prepare Specimens:* Handle and prepare surgical specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.* *Document Procedures:* Accurately document surgical procedures, including instruments used, patient responses, and any complications.* *Support Post-Operative Care:* Help transfer patients to recovery areas and provide support as needed for post-operative care.* *Coordinate with Team:* Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members to ensure smooth operations.* *Manage Inventory:* Monitor and restock surgical supplies and equipment as required.* *Follow Safety Protocols:* Implement hospital policies and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and clean operating environment.*Qualifications:** *Certification:* Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential from a recognized certifying body.* *Education:* Associates degree in Surgical Technology or a related field, or equivalent training.* *Experience:* Prior experience as a surgical technician or in a similar clinical setting is preferred.* *Skills:* Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication.* *Physical Requirements:* Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with patient positioning, and handle surgical equipment effectively.Job Type: ContractPay: $49.51 - $52.97 per hourExpected hours: 36 per weekWork Location: On the roadby Jobble
