Caregiver for Behavioral Group Home -
Pay Rate: $17.98 to $20 per hour (depending on which group home location you work in)
Full-time for most positions, some part-time open as well; schedules are regular and consistent

    You'll assist the individuals in the home with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. If you're compassionate, patient, and find meaning in this type of work, you'll find a promising future at Sevita.


    • Competitive Pay: Starting range is currently at $17.98/hour up to $20/hour (pay rate determined by which group home location you work in), plus annual increases, Pay on Demand, Full benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week, including health benefits and 401(k) with a 3% company match

      • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; DSP Year 1 and DSP Year 2 certifications REQUIRED (Note: we can help candidates who have sufficient experience to complete these certifications but must be done before they can start working in the program)
      • Experience: One year or more of experience in direct care of individuals with developmental disabilities - AND - must have some experience working with severe behavioral challenges such as hitting, spitting, running away, verbal and physical aggression, and so on. -
      • Skills: Behavioral de-escalation, knowledge of client rights and advocacy, strong communication skills
      • Clearances: -must be able to pass applicable criminal and driver history background checks and a pre-employment physical and TB test.
      • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
      • Licenses: -Valid CA Driver's license; must have driver history of at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state) -
      • AVAILABILITY: All positions require working at least one weekend shift (some schedules include both weekend days)
