Growing together. - -The Clinical Decision Support Specialist will play a key role in implementing and optimizing clinical decision support tools to assist healthcare professionals in making informed and effective decisions. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare processes, solid analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Exercises direction and judgment while assisting with evaluating the clinical requirements and process for decision support tools. Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to implement and maintain clinical decision support tools
  • Analyze and interpret clinical data to develop actionable insights that enhance decision-making processes
  • Work with clinical and IT staff to create and refine clinical decision support rules and alert based on evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines
  • Manages competing demands in an environment with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected results and the ability to analyze implications of design concepts is critical; solves or escalates immediate problems in order to succeed on assigned projects and tasks

    Required Qualifications: -

    • Clinical certification (e.g. RN, RRT, CMA) -
    • 3+ years of clinical experience involving knowledge of modern hospital and/or physician office clinical practice - -

      Preferred Qualifications: - - - - -

      • RN license
      • Experience in a clinical decision support, EHR design/build experience, or healthcare informatics role
      • Comfort with using various communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Excel, video conferencing, project management software)
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
      • Flexibility to adapt to changes in tasks, priorities, or work processes
      • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
      • Timely responsiveness to emails and messages
      • Ability to stay focused and motivated without direct supervision
      • Setting and adhering to deadlines
      • Clear and concise written communication
      • Active listening during virtual meetings
      • Managing files and documents effectively
      • Building and maintaining relationships with remote colleagues
      • Communicating challenges or roadblocks in a timely manner
      • Understanding and adhering to online meeting etiquette
      • Respect for colleagues' time and boundaries

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
