Position Summary
The Lead Diagnostic Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing technical duties as well as supervising the Diagnostic Imaging department's Radiologist Technologist's activity and maintaining equipment at proficiency levels. The Lead Diagnostic Technologist will direct and perform imaging assigned services to a patient population ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric. The Lead Diagnostic Technologist will assist in patient care and preparation of the diagnostic department by performing routine and delegated technical and clerical duties according to SBMC standards and department policy.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Ensures all regulatory, HIPPA, health and safety and other compliance directives meet standards.
• Responsible for all day-to-day technical operation activates that support patients, physicians, staff by offering leadership, open communication, solutions and customer service.
• Ability to demonstrates the required technical knowledge to perform quality imaging for all diagnostic exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and safety.
• Performs quality imaging appropriate to patients of all ages and conditions.
• Responsible for verifying and documenting patient identification, confirms written order prior to exam and explains procedure.
• Ensures patient and family education is accomplished as appropriate and according to department and hospital policies.
• Attends and participates in department specific education, training, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Provides proper training and orientation to new staff of equipment and workflows and monitors progress.
• Assists in department specific performance improvement projects.
• Participate in projects and meetings, as well as complete other assigned by Director.
• Accurately and efficiently manages the flow of patients in the Diagnostic department.
• Assists with annual employee evaluations and gives regular input as to department operations, problems, and opportunities for improvement. Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $58.00/hr
  Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.   Qualifications
  Minimum Requirements
  Qualifications/Work Experience:
  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiology Technology
  • Minimum of Five years acute care experience, or equivalent, as a Technologist required;
  • Experience as a Lead Technologist or supervisory experience preferred;
  • Excellent Communication skills and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently Education/Licensure/Certification:
    • --- Current ARRT (Radiology) required
    • --- Current Certified Radiologic Technologist for State of California (CRT) required
    • --- Current Fluoroscopy State of California required
    • --- Current BCLS required
