Job Summary

Develop knowledge and skills in evaluating disputed healthcare claims to determine main cause of insurance denials and develop appeal strategies for revenue recovery.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate unpaid and underpaid insurance claims for denial reasons and determine strategies for appeals for full collection.
• Work with various insurance companies, carriers, and other government and commercial agencies responsible for processing healthcare claims
• Ensure timely contact and follow up with related parties for prompt resolution on claims
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties as assigned
  Qualifications
  
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, coding, and insurance coverage helpful
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a healthcare or insurance setting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Independent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills
  • Basic office skills and computer literacy required
  • Must be able to type 35 WPM
    Working Title: Case Manager I
    
    Pay Rate: $19.25 - $24.50 (Depending on Relevant Experience)
    
    Position Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
    
    Schedule: Alternative work week schedule-Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5:00 pm & Fri 7:30 am-12:30 pm
    
    Other: We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
