Summary:Responsible for leadership and oversight of the post-acute admissions staff as well as the overall admissions process, following regulatory guidelines and policies. This position is responsible for marketing and program growth including development of new territories, development of new programs for post-acute care based on healthcare system initiatives, and increasing rehabilitation and post-acute care market share. Detailed responsibilities:--- Markets Memorial Rehabilitation Institute, Memorial Manor and the post-acute service line by conducting presentations, rounding and marketing calls regularly with variety of stakeholders including, but not limited to, physicians, referring facilities, staff, payers, and community discharge planners and other key staff from referring facilities. Assists in the development and execution of market share strategies to develop new territories and increase overall admissions.--- Utilizes data in order to create strategic targets by obtaining, analyzing, and tracking referral patterns from various referral sources on a monthly and annual basis. Uses data, able to develop action plans for weak/vulnerable areas and identifies new targets and growth opportunities based on past, current, and future trends.--- Leads business operations and strategy development for post-acute care including management of human capital, department reporting requirements and collaboration with other stakeholders to maintain accreditation standards.--- Communicates to relevant stakeholders rehabilitation industry trends for reimbursement and regulatory changes, as well as potential impact to Memorial Rehabilitation Institute programs.--- Communicates to relevant stakeholders rehabilitation industry trends for reimbursement and regulatory changes, as well as potential impact to Memorial Rehabilitation Institute programs. Education:Essential:--- Bachelors Credentials: Education equivalent experience:Essential:--- Other information:Complexity of Work: Understands Medicare guidelines for Acute Rehab admission, subacute admission and skilled nursing admission and continued stay with respect to diagnosis, medical necessity, intensity of services and other requirements. Understands financial reimbursement guidelines and processes with respect to insurance benefits, in or out of network or non-contracted insurances, preauthorization, and other applicable details. Knowledge of legislative proposals, changes and their effect on post-acute criteria.Required Work Experience: Five (5) years of clinical/healthcare experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in leadership capacity.
