Job Description ABOUT CENTURY VILLAGES AT CABRILLO (CVC): CVC is
the steward of the Villages at Cabrillo (Villages), a vibrant
supportive housing community in Long Beach. The Villages offers
emergency and permanent housing, integrated with resident services,
to about 2000 residents annually (1,300 on any given day),
including veterans and children who have experienced homelessness.
In addition to owning, developing and managing the Villages, CVC
also services as the backbone organization to a collection of on
and offsite partners. Century's Oasis Residential Services team
(OASIS) provides direct case management for 200 households,
operates an afterschool programming and family services, as well as
providing crisis support and community engagement actives for the
entire community in conjunction with our partners. GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Clinical Supervisor is part of the larger Oasis Residential
Services team, and will assist in establishing and ensuring success
with integrating clinical services into an existing case management
services team. Clinical Supervisor will provide individual and
group supervision to clinical staff, review and ensure compliance
with Dept Health Services Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS)
contract and programs, and provide clinical support to residents as
needed. This position will work closely with the Director, Resident
Services, to ensure staff receive adequate and appropriate clinical
training and supervision relevant to their specific job duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and
responsibilities below are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Following established professional standards of practice and code
of ethics, the Supervisor:Provides weekly individual and group
supervision to up to 12 staff and interns as assigned.Provide
leadership, support, and clinical and administrative supervision of
clinical staff (includes ICMS case managers, LCSW, etc.), to ensure
delivery of high-quality client support.Maintains up-to-date
knowledge of BBS licensing requirements and disseminates
information to relevant staff.Tracks individual and group
supervision attendance and maintains necessary documentation for
each session, according to BBS standards.Acts as liaison with
universities to ensure a positive relationship and compliance with
their internship programs.Leads weekly case consultation meetings
with case management staff.Provides clinical assessment, crisis
intervention, and other direct client services (manages a small
caseload) as needed.Performs chart review at regular
intervals.Builds and maintains relationships with community-based
mental health service providers, coordinating agencies and
governmental agencies. Represents Century in appropriate meetings
and trainings. Attends property-services meetings as needed to
provide insight and consultation on housing retention for
clients.Collaborates and meets regularly with Director, Resident
Services to support staff's clinical and professional
development.Assists VP, Residential Services in design and
implementation of training curriculum, including onboarding and
orientation activities.Assists with grant requests, required
reports, and contract compliance.Shared after hours on-call duties
to respond to crises as needed.Other duties as assignedREQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be highly motivated and a
self-starter;The ability to communicate with and relate to a
diverse group of people including clients, community, and other
staff;Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment;Strong
knowledge of services and resources. Demonstrated knowledge and
experience with Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Critical
Time Intervention, and Housing First;Strong knowledge of clinical
principles and intervention techniques specific to hard-to-reach,
difficult to serve populations;Experience working with clients with
mental illness, chronic health issues, and substance use
disorders;Experience working in permanent supportive housing with
low income, diverse populations;The ability to establish, maintain,
track, measure and report to stakeholders the program's objectives
and their efficacy in assisting residents to achieve their life
opportunities objectives;Must be computer literate in word
processing and database; Ability to use a computer to maintain
resident files, search for services and file required, as well as
proficiency in MS Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum Requirements:Possess a
current and active California license that is not under suspension
or probation as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)A minimum
of 3 years of experience working with crisis assessment,
stabilization and linkage services;Experience working with homeless
adults, preferably those struggling with mental illness and/or
substance addictionsMust have a minimum of 5 years' experience
supervising staff, client services, program development and
evaluation and possess necessary leadership skills.Have practiced
psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five
(5) years prior to the commencement of supervision or provided
direct supervision to ASWs, Associate Professional Clinical
Counselors during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5)
years prior to the commencement of supervision.Supervision of
psychotherapy performedKnowledge of and expertise in clinical
quality assurance, clinical charting methods and clinical best
practices. Preferred relevant knowledge specific to Century's
client population ranging from Veterans, formerly homeless, and
persons with Severe Mental Illness. Knowledge of or experience with
Motivational interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and the Housing
First Model. Must be flexible, detailed oriented, and willing to
take on special projects.Possess leadership and supervisory skills,
3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership
