Unlike traditional congenital heart programs that treat either children or adults, our program treats patients from birth, through adolescence, and for the entire course of their adult lives. Essential Duties:

• You will direct patient care activities and tasks specific to the unit/needs of our pediatric program
• Utilize your strong pediatric and adult assessment skills every single day
• Coordinate care with social workers, dietitians and other hospital units to meet patient needs
• Administer vaccines as needed
• Use your outstanding communication skills to effectively counsel children and adults
• Develop a strong rapport with patients of all ages by demonstrating your compassion, professionalism and empathy
  Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing programBSN preferred Licenses: BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required.Specialty certification required within 1 year of hire. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience requiredAt least 3 years of acute care nursing experience desired.Experience in Pediatrics or Congenital Heart Disease strongly preferred. Physical Demands: Standing Frequent Walking Frequent Sitting Frequent Lifting Occasionally 50 lbs.Carrying Occasionally 50 lbs.Pushing Occasionally
