ABOUT CENTURY VILLAGES AT CABRILLO (CVC): CVC is the steward of the Villages at Cabrillo (Villages), a vibrant supportive housing community in Long Beach. The Villages offers emergency and permanent housing, integrated with resident services, to about 2000 residents annually (1,300 on any given day), including veterans and children who have experienced homelessness. In addition to owning, developing, and managing the Villages, CVC also serves as the backbone organization of a collection of on and offsite partners. Century's Oasis Residential Services team (OASIS) provides direct case management for 200 households, operates afterschool programming and family services, as well as providing crisis support and community engagement activities for the entire community in conjunction with our partners. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Clinical Director is part of Century's larger Oasis Residential Services team that provides supportive services for those residing in permanent supportive housing developments throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties. The Director will be part of the leadership team and provide the overall direction of clinical service delivery and expansion including new program development, evidenced-based practice, quality outcomes, and compliance. The Director will be responsible for ensuring staff receive adequate and appropriate clinical training, support, and supervision to ensure the highest quality client care Collaborate with VP Residential Services to design and build a suitable clinical services model/program for existing services within Century. Help identify areas of growth and develop a plan to expand and enhance clinical services within the next three years. Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers organization policies and procedures.Facilitate weekly clinical consultation meetings with the program staff.Provide clinical insight and intervention ideas to program staff to best serve the clients.Oversee clinical service delivery consulting regularly with the Director regarding quality control issues to maintain the highest standard of clinical services.Oversee tracking of clinical needs for high-needs clients to ensure appropriate and best practice services are being provided.Provide on-call after-hours support/consultation with staff (rotating)Supervises the Behavioral Health Specialist, Clinical Supervisor, and interns. Recruit, train and supervise newly created positions as expansion occurs.Develop and implement department budget based on strategic goals.Along with the Director, Resident Services, manage program activities to assure timely completion of progress notes and all forms of related to the program.Provide assessment, crisis intervention, mental health and case management services as needed.In conjunction with the Director, Resident Services, collect statistics and prepare reports for funders and internal agency use. Ensure that weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.Coordinate the development of cooperative relationships with other service providers, DMH, Housing for Health, police and public safety officers and/or any other community resources.Participating in Century community, administrative, and fundraising activities as necessary.Participate in appropriate contract-related meetings.Interacts with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and other professional and community groups.Plans and implements in-services and continuing education programs to meet the education and training needs of the organization's clinical team.Assures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of the organization's clinical team and maintain compliance to all mandated standards.Assists with the evaluation of the organization's performance via quality assessment, productivity, and quarterly and annual reviews.Assures for the quality and safe delivery of therapy services provided through the organization.Provides guidance and counseling to managers to assist them in continually improving all aspects of care services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum Requirements: Active, current license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences.Five (5) years minimum clinical supervisory experience.Experience providing direct mental health and substance use services in a community setting with homeless or at-risk population is highly desired.Minimum of five (5) years of management experience including supervision of professional staff, program development, program management & evaluation, budgeting, staff recruitment & evaluation. At least three years of experience directing a mental health program and providing high-quality upper-management program assessments and management reports.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.Must possess strong problem-solving and leadership skills.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle crises well, and model self-care for your team. Must have the ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including clients, community, and other staff.Must have excellent administrative and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise professional and para-professional staff while handling multiple tasks and relating to diverse groups.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to use electronic health records and other various electronic databases.Must possess COVID-19 Vaccination, including booster required (as per county contract guidelines) Travel Requirements: Travel to client sessions, and meetings at multiple Century sites throughout LA and Orange County, and at community partners' locations as needed. Job Location: Long Beach, California 90810. This is not a remote work opportunity.
