Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesThe Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Art Therapist to join the UCLA Operation Mend Department. You will provide trauma informed/evidence based treatment, traumatic brain injury treatment, and substance use disorder treatment to military service members, veterans, and caregivers. Primary duties include:- Clinical care and support services- Organizing, structuring, and conducting individual and group art therapy sessions- Facilitating intake and assessment protocols and structured sessions with patients and their families- Providing community education and innovative research to ITP participants- Assisting multidisciplinary team in psychodiagnostic appraisals- Assisting in organizing, structuring, and conducting individual and group intervention sessions- Assisting in program development- Tracking and monitoring participants' participation in the intensive treatment program- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and present relevant patient cases regarding target population- Assisting Operation Mend clinical team in managing referrals and post treatment follow up- Attending training and supervision sessionsQualificationsValid California Clinical LicenseRegistered Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)/Art Therapist (ATR) orGraduated from AATA approved graduate program orPhD or PsyD in psychology or related fieldExperience in the area of military, veterans, family, trauma, and/or preventionAbility to work effectively and closely with other members of the clinical and research teams.Experience delivering trauma informed behavioral interventions to clients in individual and particularly group settings.Skill in developing rapport with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.Ability to administer assessment protocolsSkill in keeping accurate and timely recordsMust have valid driver's license, auto insurance and access to an automobile.Ability to work flexible hours some evenings and weekendsProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access.
