Consolidated global sales for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018, totaled US$48.1 billion.Job Summary (Geographic Market: Southeastern or Mid-Atlantic Region) Develops and maintains strategic business relationships with national fleet accounts to promote DENSO products. Increases business with existing clients and promotes the organization to new clients in order to meet strategic business objectives. Manages and protects DENSO's relationship with targeted top national fleets. Possesses very detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of client's business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the sale of DENSO products to top national fleets, including FedEx, UPS, JB Hunt, Schneider International and others, with the end goal of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 2. Develops and negotiates long term agreements, non-disclosure agreements and warranty policies within the defined customer base. 3. Manages current business, including analysing sales history, fill rates, shipping performance, pricing comparisons, application discrepancies, order management and more. 4. Seeks business expansion by identifying opportunities with existing customer base and creating strategies and action plans to drive new business and win new customers. 5. Develops and executes accurate and complete sales plans. Ensures maintenance and expansion activities support sales plan. Develops and reviews sales plans with management and recommends and explains ranking, pricing and/or volume strategy for products. Reviews variance analysis and other related information to ensure accuracy and provides detailed reports for management. 6. Negotiates, and guides lower level colleagues in negotiating, product and related sales and marketing issues with customers, affiliates and DNJP. 7. Builds, maintains and establishes strong internal and external networks in order to address and resolve daily issues, gather information and focus on company goals and objectives. Directly works with many internal departments, including Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Service and Warranty. Represents DENSO at trade shows, customer events and other assigned industry/vendor related events. 8. Manages projects associated with assigned customer base, including creation of project schedule, setting and managing meetings and liaison with internal departments for product development and other product related issues. 9. Ensures Account Receivable (A/R) information is accurate and inclusive. Works with AR department to resolve purchasing order (PO) discrepancies and assist with other AR issues. Involved in complex negotiations related to the resolution of pricing discrepancies with customers or DENSO plants or other similar situations. 10. Provides guidance, coaches and oversees the work of lower level colleagues. May provide input into performance evaluations. 11. Analyzes current processes and systems. Identifies and implements activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of sales and marketing activities. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Level of Education and Training Required Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field and 7 or more years of relevant experience, including direct customer contact, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous heavy duty (truck) experience is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Level of Knowledge and Skills Required Excellent project management skills including the ability to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers/stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in an effective and timely manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be a skillful presenter that can interpret information based on a general knowledge of the organization, its products and procedures, and provide an independent explanation and discussion based on the technical or complex nature of the materials being discussed. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to approach every business relationship as a partnership and to promote and support a service-oriented environment and encourage others to improve and refine their service actions. Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to address customer issues and partner on resolutions. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex situations, applying knowledge of specialty area and use of sound judgement. Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature. Recognizes and applies subtle cues in anticipating customers' needs and potential next steps. Takes strong stand without indicating disrespect and seeks positive outcomes. Demonstrated competency in working with computer software and Mainframe applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile data. In-depth knowledge of Internet and Explorer applications to retrieve and post data and research information. Demonstrated knowledge of program management principles, requests for quotation (RFQ) and contract review processes.
