outstanding opportunity for you! The Role: As the Director of
Patient Placement, you will be the cornerstone of our strategic
planning and operational execution, overseeing our two California
Transfer Centers under the guidance of the Divisional Executive
Director. Based in California, you will be instrumental in shaping
the future of patient transfer services across the division,
ensuring seamless and efficient operations that align with our
organizational goals. What You'll Do:
- Strategic Leader: Spearhead the strategic planning,
development, and administration of our transfer centers, driving
initiatives that enhance system-wide performance and meet
leadership-defined outcomes.
- Data-Driven Innovator: Utilize a data-driven approach to refine
and improve transfer center processes, delivering on established
metrics while devising new measures for optimal efficiency.
- Collaborative Partner: Work closely with Divisional Executives,
ministry leadership, and the Providence Heritage (IPA) team to
maintain a 24x7, flawless transfer service operation, ensuring
exceptional patient care and service.
- Operational Maestro: Direct daily operations of transfer center
functions, including inbound and outbound coordination, patient
admissions, and cross-organizational collaborations that encompass
bed control, transfer evaluations, and patient logistics.
- Mentor and Guide: Quickly gain in-depth knowledge of our
transfer center services to mentor staff and provide on-site
leadership during peak times and emergencies, fostering an
environment of support and excellence. What You'll Bring:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing,
Business, or a related field is required, with a Master's Degree
preferred.
- Professional Expertise: At least five years of progressive
leadership experience in managing transfer centers, coupled with
business development, strategic planning, and innovative
risk-taking capabilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of transfer center
and hospital operations, including but not limited to bed
management, case evaluation, physician liaison, and financial
review.
- Leadership Qualities: Dynamic leadership skills, exceptional
communication abilities, and proven expertise in people management
and operational success are essential.
- Collaborative Spirit: The ability to build robust relationships
with management, physicians, staff, and community leaders through
influential negotiation, relationship-building, and communication
skills.
- Technological Proficiency: Basic computer skills with
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to
work effectively with IS teams to ensure seamless Transfer Center

may be available for this role, such as shift differentials,
standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or
