This Brand Experience department is a core function of the Brand Marketing organization, with a sharp focus on elevating an inspired understanding of the brand and product stories that underpin and uniquely define lululemon across multiple platforms. Comprised of the core functions of Digital Brand Experience, Retail Brand Experience, Retail Design and Event Experience, this team is redefining digital and physical brand experiences by providing strategic design for the online-to-offline journeys that serve our guests and drive sales.What you'll do:The Director, Global Event Experience is responsible for leading the development and implementation of lululemon's global event strategy and the guidance, production, and execution of the most revered and anticipated events and experiences on the planet. This role is responsible for leading the Global Event Experience team, overseeing the strategy and concept development of all global event franchises, leading the development and execution of all media and internal events, supporting regional teams with the production of regional event concepts, and ensuring appropriate training, best practices and tools are in place to support teams producing events around the world.

  • Create a transformative, never been done before global brand event strategy that ignites a community of people to live the sweat life - through virtual and physical experiences
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Global Events Experience team and support the ongoing development of team managers.
  • Support the development of regional Event Experience teams across NA, EMEA, China, and APAC.
  • In partnership with international and local community partners, set annual team priorities to support mid- and long-term business objectives
  • Lead the development of lululemon's five-year events strategy
  • Oversee and support the concepting, planning and production of lululemon's global event concepts, across all regions. Develop toolkits to guide and inform regional execution.
  • Lead the planning and production of all global media events and internal events and experiences
  • Support execution across all regions through event consulting, coaching and mentoring
  • Enhance lululemon's event production capabilities by leading the development and standardization of lululemon's event production processes, best practices and tools
  • Oversee centralized services to support the planning and production of all global event concepts (e.g. registration systems, marketing, guest data analysis and insights)
  • Lead strategic initiatives that support the long-term growth and evolution of our event production capabilities
  • Proactively identify and address technical, operational and organizational opportunities and challenges
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Global Events department and consult on events budget for cross-functional partners
  • Manage team priorities and resource allocation to ensure that business objectives are being metThe fine print:
    • An undergraduate degree is required
    • 15+ years of experience managing virtual events, live events, and large-scale brand-defining global experiences at a purpose driven global company
    • Strong digital and virtual experience acumen
    • 10+ year of leading and developing teams
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
    • Innovative and strategic thinker
    • Ability to travel and work flexible hours
    • Able to work independently with minimal direction, seeking coaching and guidance as needed

The typical hiring range for this position is from $155,400 - 203,900 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
