Assistant Director of Global Programs and Partnerships USC
Marshall School of Business Office of Global Programs and
Partnerships The Global Programs and Partnerships Office (GPP)
plays a critical role at USC Marshall--s undergraduate and graduate
levels by managing Marshall--s signature global experiential
learning programs such as PRIME, PM GLOBE, ExPORT, GLP, GSI, LInC,
TIE, and selected Graduate Electives with a global component. GPP
also manages the MBA International Exchange Programs.---- ---- The
Assistant Director position plays a critical role in the planning,
organization, and delivery of program services specific to the
international experiential learning programs at the Marshall School
of Business. The position works closely with the Director and
Associate Director in management of trip logistics coordination in
various countries, delivery of student services, coordination of
faculty and staff support, communication with students and
supervision of student staff. In addition, the position counsels or
advises students regarding travel and visa issues for the trips.
The Assistant Director works closely with the university travel
agent and providers to execute the program objectives. The
Assistant Director maintains an extensive network of contacts,
internal and external, to facilitate program coordination.----
Responsibilities and Duties --
- Work closely with the director, associate director, faculty,
travel agency and service providers to develop on-site program
schedule for specific trips as assigned.--
- Make all program logistical arrangements for specific trips as
assigned and deliver the program as planned.--
- Work closely with other team members to conduct risk
assessments and contingency planning for program countries. Act as
a member of the crisis response team to address crisis in and
around the program countries.--
- Provide counseling, advising, and communicating with students,
faculty and staff regarding program logistics, travel requirements
and academic issues.--
- Work with the participants, university--s offices, travel
agency and service providers, and Embassies/Consulates to ensure
that all program participants have appropriate travel document(s)
to travel on trips and return to the US from the
programs.------
- Manage program-specific databases, produce, and submit reports
to meet USC mandated compliance, obtain overseas insurance and
prepare faculty/staff for program travels.--
- Provide academic and classroom support for programs.--
- Plan, administer, and deliver program events as needed.--
- Administer work and project assignments for student staff to
support program delivery and operations.--
- Travel on global program trips to provide recommendations or
improvements for future program delivery to director and associate
director.-- Preferred Qualifications-- --
- Experience in a higher education environment, preferably in
international education and study abroad programs.----
- Strong knowledge and understanding of international
experiential learning programs and international faculty-led
programs.--
- Knowledge of international travel and visa requirements and
experience interacting and communicating with travel providers,
students, and faculty.--
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing
priorities and fluctuating workloads.--
- Strong written and oral communication skills--
- Strong program/project management skills-- ---
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in word
(creation of forms & tables, signs, labels, data sorts, mail
merges, etc.) and excel (formulas, database function,
spreadsheets). Ability to conduct web searches and email via
Microsoft Outlook.-- --- Anticipated Hiring Range: The hourly rate
range for this position is $29.04 - $33.12. When extending an offer
