The opportunity:Outlast is looking for an experienced Recyclables Trader / Sales Manager with a robust book of business of scrap consumers to help drive sales and grow our company! In this role, you will be interacting directly with our customers to buy and sell recyclables. This will involve sourcing buyers and suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ultimately, closing individual deals and partnerships. Individuals in this role will also get the opportunity to shape the direction of our company by working with our leadership to define sales strategies and goals as well as interfacing with our operations and engineering teams to execute on orders and build amazing new products!What you will do:Grow our business by leveraging personal network and industry knowledge to bring in new contracts with industrial accountsPartner with our Operations team to set up the equipment and logistics required to service industrial accountsBuild strong relationships with new sellers and buyers through referrals, cold calls, and by attending trade shows and eventsDefine and execute a sales strategy and process to achieve our growth targetsMonitor and analyze industry trends and recommend new opportunitiesWork with our product team to improve our technology by collecting customer feedbackHelp build a fun, high-energy environment where people love coming to workWho we are looking for:Experience selling to scrap consumers who are end homes requiredExperience with pricing and grading ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap requiredExperience buying from industrial accounts, e.g., OEMs and fabricated metal products manufacturers, preferredBachelor's Degreeor equivalent in experience5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or trading/brokering dealsStrong communicator who never loses sight of the detailsSelf-starter with a "roll-up your sleeves" mentality and a bias for actionSomeone passionate about disrupting an antiquated industry and who shares our environmental core valuesAlignment with Outlast's core valuesPlease note this is a remote position with travel on an as-needed basis.
