This position is Full-Time (at least 40 hours per week) at our Inglewood, CA office. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000. Accounting Manager Duties: Assist and work closely with the controller on the month-end close Prepares complex balance sheet account reconciliations such as AR and reviews other account reconciliations prepared by the staff accountants Team player and works with the accounting department to meet all deadlines Assists in the companys annual financial audit Assists and / or reviews all tax returns / forms prepared by the companys outside tax accountants Analyzes information and data by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information Assists with special projects as requested. Currently Companys AR system is transitioning to another and more efficient system Reports directly to Controller One senior accountant, two staff accountant and one junior accountant department are direct reports. Performs annual review on all direct reports Minimum Experience/Skills: 5 7 years of direct general accounting / finance experience of which two years is as an accounting manager or a supervisory role with direct reports CPA license is preferred, not required Technical knowledge of GAAP is required. Prior experience with the new standards related to leases or ASC 842 and ASC 606 is strongly desirable. Retail or healthcare industry background is a plus Strong ability to use MS Office packages, including MS Word, Access and Excel. Advance excel skillset is required Knowledge of Great Plains or similar ERP experience. Ability to analyze and maintain general ledgers, trial balances and financial statements.
