Job Description:

--- Responsible for sales and marketing of Expanded Graphite products in geographical region
--- Has to work with Valencia production site for flexible graphite foil and yarn products
--- Multiple product groups - rolls, sheets, reinforced sheets, purity levels, inhibited materials, powder products, gasket products, tapes, and yarn products
--- Supports export licensing issues to maintain proper controls and relations for SGL across BAFA, MITI and US Export Controls
--- Initiate and maintain contacts with end users in geographical region

--- Manage customer and end user base encompassing multiple states - MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME, NY, NJ, DE, MD, and eastern Canada
--- Responsible for territory technical application support activities -
--- Implements worldwide pricing and marketing strategies that is consistent with the Global EG Product Group
--- Develops and implements time and territory strategies for customers and end users in geographical region
--- Transfer customer needs into technical specifications and ensures technical feasibility
--- Monitor markets and analyze trends including customers' technical requirements and competitors' technical capabilities -
--- Manager CRM system for sales, opportunities and specifications for customers and end users in geographical territory
--- Interface with customer and end user technical people to secures product and technical specifications at end user and technical associations
--- Identify new product opportunities (product ideas, product modifications and product adoptions) and develop market strategies
--- Provide monthly reports summarizing sales and development activities within Expanded Graphite business line
--- Review and monitor Gross Margin by product line and customer to make sure they are in line with Product Group targets
---Supports bottom-up planning of annual sales (twice per yearly) and department budgets (yearly)
---Monitors and report on regional progress or issues from a Sales and Marketing perspective of the flexible graphite foil and yarn business (i.e. markets, products, competition, customers, etc.)
---Interface with commercial customers and end users to develop business and customer specific strategies
---Identify new product opportunities and develop market strategy
---Develop pricing strategies in regional markets -
---Maintains and coordinates open communication with operations and quality teams in Valencia
---Identifies and communicates critical needs within the flexible graphite foil, powders and yarn businesses from a customer and market perspective
---Time and territory Management Strategy
---Maintain and evaluate product and customer sales data for geographical territory


  • Degree in engineering (Mechanical or Chemical)
  • Ability to work in and with outside sales organizations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Strong affinity to technical products


    • Minimum 2-5 years of technical sales or engineering experience (sealing products a plus)
    • Travel approximately 55% of the time (auto and air travel)
    • Time and territory management experience
    • Knowledge of software (SAP, CRM, MS Office)

      Work Environment:

      This position works in a home/office environment and might be subject to enter into a noisy plant environment.

      This is a remote position.

      • Annual compensation: $90,000 - $108,000 DOE -
