Job Description:
Summary
Apple's Instructional Products group is looking for an experienced
people manager with outstanding animation and project management
skills to lead a team of motion designers in a fast-paced
environment within Software Engineering. The Animation Manager is
responsible for ensuring the high design quality of all our
animated content, including UI animations and instructional videos
in the Tips app on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, as well as help and user
guides on device and the web.
This is an opportunity to lead and grow a small, talented team of
motion designers focused on creating engaging animated content that
connects with and guides our users to get the most out of Apple's
hardware, software, and services.

Outstanding people skills, experience managing teams, and the
ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a
team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management experience: attention to detail,
planning, project communication, issue resolution, change
management, and risk management
Experience balancing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting
aggressive timelines with a proven track record of delivering
high-quality results
Exceptional creativity in concept development, storyboarding, and
problem solving

Guide and support the animation team by providing clear direction
to enhance the team's performance and build a culture of
collaboration
Hire, mentor, and onboard motion design team members
Define the motion, transitions, and interactions of welcome
experiences, short how-to videos, and user interface animations
Collaborate with designers, animators, instructional designers, and
developers to create and build out interaction designs
Prototype user interactions that will help guide our users in the
future
Be part of the broader Instructional Products Management team,
including Content, Design, Engineering, Editorial, and Project
Management to help lead business planning and department-wide
initiatives

Education & Experience
BA degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or other related
discipline
