Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the Trade Marketing Department including 2 designers, 1 Trade Marketing Manager, 1 Product Informational Specialist and 1 Trade Marketing Associate. Mentor and inspire team to deliver world class chain and retail campaigns.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Marketing and Key Sales Team Stakeholders to develop best in class commercial marketing programs and presentations to support our growing portfolio of wine and spirits brands.
  • Owner of presentation, sell sheet and tech sheet development. Partner with 3rd and 4th Generation Family Members, Vice President of Marketing, Media Director, Events Director, Trade Marketing Team, and/or sales team members to create impactful internal and external presentations
  • Leverage Nielsen and other insights to create data-driven marketing presentations with our national chain sales force that align with product growth initiatives and best practices
  • This position will play a key role in partnering with our Vice President of Marketing, Trade Marketing Team and Sales Team to leverage key brand assets at the store/ customer level with the goal of gaining incremental ROS (rate of sales) and distributions by channels - Chains, Independents, On-Premise, Military, etc.
  • The Trade Marketing Director will be ultimately responsible for the timely commercial rollout of the national marketing calendar and any ad hoc campaigns throughout the year including but not limited to coupons, sweepstakes, samples, incentives, cross merchandising campaigns/brand partnerships and POS.
  • Strategically communicate, develop and/or creatively adapt programs that originate from Brand Marketing, Distributor, Retailer, and HQ
  • Ensure flawless retail execution on collaborations/cross merchandising partnerships. Manage retail brand partnerships.
  • Conduct detailed and timely program performance updates and recaps considering all relevant personnel in order to track, monitor, and adjust efforts to produce desired outcomes in all key business segments
  • Lead and/or assist with the execution of incentives, sampling opportunities, general category, new product/initiative education, selling stories, sell sheets, etc.
  • Partner with Trade Marketing Team to ensure that POS is aligned with commercial marketing programs.
    Job Requirements--- 8+ years of Marketing or/and Sales planning experience, commercial experience a plus.--- Team Leadership experience--- Understanding of the trade/commercial side of the business: accounts, POS, coupons etc.--- Beverage / Wine & Spirits experience a must--- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Finance--- You are constantly curious, considering every project with both an analytical and creative approach from the mindset of the person we are targeting--- Highly analytical - using data with industry knowledge to build marketing strategies--- Experience with retail brand partnerships, coupons, Nielsen/IRI, POS, and Inventory reports--- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint--- Knowledge of broker, distributor, and retail customers--- Excellent at managing time, priorities, and expenses--- Able to work independently while being a team player--- On-site, Los Angeles, CA--- 10% travel
