- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with SQL (e.g., SQL, MySQL,
- 3 years of experience in data analysis and statistical
- 2 years of experience with people management.
- Experience with classification systems, ranking systems, or
- Experience collecting, managing, and synthesizing large data
sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling,
data mining, and data analysis.
- Ability to demonstrate high-level product and policy knowledge
with the ability to understand and design training

is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building
internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving
digital world.As a Scaled Abuse Manager for YouTube Trust and
Safety, you are responsible for formulating strategies and
implementing innovative solutions to drive anti-spam analytics and
detection at scale within YouTube. This includes leading a highly
capable team of analysts as well as driving scaled abuse manual
review operations in remote offices.In this role, you will work
cross-functionally and engage with stakeholders from Policy, Legal,
Engineering, Data Science, Ranking, and Product teams across a wide
variety of complex community abuse issues. Your goal is to ensure
users have a safe and high-quality community experience on the
YouTube Platform. This role may require some on-call work on
weekends on a rotational basis. This role may also be exposed to
graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content
during team escalations in line with YouTube's Community

(Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $142,000 -
$152,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required
by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this
role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
- Lead a team of analysts to perform deep investigations and
apply advanced statistical methods to large data sets spanning many
events and features from diverse data sources.
- Create and deploy automated solutions for bulk classification
of abusive content and behavior using a variety of tools, features,
and functions ranging from automating SQL-like queries to real-time
Python-based classification logic.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in
Engineering, Product, Policy, and Legal to drive complex anti-abuse
solutions involving various cross-functional teams.
- Formulate a practical and high-impact long-term strategy and
vision, and lead an analyst team to cover a wide variety of spam
and abuse vectors across YouTube community engagements.
- Identify spam trends and techniques early and develop and
deploy anti-abuse countermeasures in a high-pressure, rapidly
