About the role Sitting at the center of our Data & Technology practice, the Data Strategy team's role is to transform the way that our clients think about, organize and deploy data to deliver more timely, engaging, and relevant experiences for consumers. This includes harnessing the power of first-party data in their marketing programs, deploying data partnerships to enrich their data, supporting them on the implementation of martech and ad tech to enable their data strategy, and providing hands-on help on the appropriate application of data in their media and creative programs. All the while ensuring that our clients remain future-proofed for the ever-changing consumer and industry data privacy landscape. This role is focused on supporting the Google Cloud team at Essence. Working closely with the Cloud Planning, Activation, and Analytics teams, you will be focused on improving the effectiveness of brand and performance campaigns. Immediate focus areas include user journey analysis, 2nd party data partnership development, attribution data aggregation, and other Data Strategy focused projects. Some of the things we'd like you to do:

  • Act as day-to-day Data Strategy lead for the Google Cloud account, working closely in tandem with Planning, Activation, and Analytics teams
  • Drive Cloud consultation projects focused on 3 key strategic areas
    • User journey and tagging audits, and resultant recommendations
    • Partner data (2nd publisher & 3rd party data) analysis and strategy
    • Data pipelining design and implementation oversight
    • Collaborate with Strategy team on marketing audience translation to platform targeting
    • Deeply Engage with Planning and Analytics on a multitude of audience-related projects from audience strategy, to platform targeting, to audience reporting.
    • Help bring more consistent audience level reporting to weekly and post-campaign reporting
    • Drive strategic discussions around data aggregation and pipelining opportunities supporting existing attribution workstream -
    • Engage with client-side stakeholders to understand full data architecture on both Google and Essence sides
    • Help the Data Strategy teamwork to upskill the greater agency with training focused on audience planning, audience segmentation, and audience insight development A bit about yourself:
      • 4-6 years digital agency-side working on platform-based and/or programmatic media
      • Experience with the Google media stack: CM, DV360, Google Ads (Search, YouTube, GDN), Insights Finder, BigQuery, Ads Data Hub
      • Experience with DMP, CDP, or other CRM related tools like Salesforce
      • ABM category experience, especially the evaluation and testing of different ABM providers
      • A self-directed worker who needs little oversight
      • Highly developed interpersonal, team building, and relationship management skills
