Job Description

  • Build, hire, and lead a world-class team of software engineers
  • Coach and mentor engineers to further their professional development
  • Enforce Medable's software development concepts, practices and procedures
  • Leverage in Agile methodologies to improve processes and deliver value
  • Set and support a culture of data-informed decision making, with efficient processes and strong transparency
  • Collaborate with the key stakeholders to ensure consistent project execution
  • Participate in the full development cycle: design, development, QA, experimentation, analysis, launch, and monitoring
  • Shield their team from distractions for the greater good of the product and customer
  • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • Proven leadership and mentoring skills
    • Excellent planning, process optimization, and organizational skills
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Highly motivated and self-sufficient
    • Experience with large-scale distributed systems hosted in cloud environments
    • 12+ years of experience of software development experience or a combination of education and experience in this field
    • 6+ years experience of in managing a high-performing team including hiring, onboarding, and career/skills development
      Additional Information
      • Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
      • Preferred Level of Education: Master's degree in Computer Science preferred
      • Travel as required
