We are seeking a dynamic warehouse operations expert to drive continuous improvement of our 3rd party warehouse partners performance and cost metrics.
Role Overview
Reports to: COO
Direct Reports: None
Location: West Hollywood, CA
Work Environment: Hybrid (Monday, Wednesday, Friday on site / Tuesday, Thursday remote)
Your main duties will include: -

• Oversee day to day 3PL warehouse operations for global wholesale and DTC businesses
• Ensure daily alignment between 3PLs and Sunnylife's expectations, priorities and needs
• Own and manage all 3rd Party Warehouse relationships globally (currently 5 locations)
• Provide seasonal and monthly inbound and outbound forecasting updates
• Develop peak season resource plans with warehouses to ensure timely inbound receipts and outbound order flow to service level agreements (SLA)
• Daily and monthly warehouse performance reporting to the wider business
• Hold 3PL accountable to service level agreements (SLA)
• Visit warehouses frequently (especially in peak season) to ensure preparedness, to make suggestions on storage/picking efficiencies, and to insure continuous improvement in order packing efficiency (tightness) and accuracy
• Analyse the 3PL's freight carrier selection, cost and performance and make changes where needed
• Review and analyse all warehouse related invoices for accuracy against expected costs, researching and challenging the 3PL where costs are not in line with expectations
• Accurately distribute all warehouse invoice costs to the appropriate business division and business activity
• Drive quarterly business reviews with 3PLs and coordinate continuous improvement through data
• Periodic review of all 3PL agreements to ensure it is fit for purpose for Sunnylife businesses in various jurisdictions
• Assist in evaluation and negotiation of the 3PL agreements as and when they come up for renewal and/or extension.
• Collaborate with the Wholesale Sales Operations team to ensure alignment of activity forecast versus actual activity pipeline
• Collaborate with the DTC service team to resolve issues relating to order prioritization, packing failures, or other systemic warehouse issues -Other duties will include:
  • Budgeting as related to warehouse operations
  • Suggest alternative partnerships or strategies
  • Special projects as assigned
    Qualifications
    • 3-5+ years proven experience working directly with or for 3PLs in warehousing operations.
    • Proven track record of using data to identify and solve problems
    • Solid understanding of all supply chain functions
    • Strong communication skills
    • Team player that collaborates well with others and can manage priorities
    • Ability to multitask, adapt to change and work in a dynamic environment
