The Job
As a part of the Sourcing and Procurement team, you will have an
opportunity to exceed assigned pipeline and profit objectives, lead
new business initiatives and processes, and work closely with
Ambercycle other business functions in developing overall
strategies within textile take-back and collection programs and
services.
You will build Ambercycle's upstream supply chain from the ground
up. You will work to source and scale collection of materials for
Ambercycling--- into new goods, while ensuring effective
decision-making and execution of our strategic priorities across
the organization. You will engage domestic and international
partners to develop and grow new partnerships. You will be involved
in and take the lead on key projects such as supplier transactions
or building new verticals of the collection and take-back business.
The ideal candidate will be driven and will do what it takes to
create the infinite textile ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Build growth strategy: Execute the local, domestic, and
international sales strategy which includes defining clear
objectives and challenging goals to drive program growth.
Business development to develop new relationships for materials
procurement from individuals, businesses, and organizations.
Aggressively research, identify, qualify & target potential clients
& develop access strategy to initiate contact.
Drive sales process leadership from contact through closing of
deals both domestically and internationally.
Develop, negotiate, and optimize relationships with partners,
service providers, and value chain participants to ensure efficient
program execution.
Developing relationships with/selling to B2B clients.
Develop & maintain relationships at the higher levels of the
customer and partner organization.
Exercise creativity and judgment in developing and evaluating sales
and marketing strategies.
Develop and maintain sales budget for material collections deals,
and work closely with operations to ensure success and growth
across all channels.
Travel to various partner sites to identify customer specific needs
and develop solutions to ensure business success.
Identify needs and develop customer specific solutions for those
needs.
Utilize resources from across Ambercycle in order to design &
deliver partner and customer desired outcomes.
Develop relationships with intermediaries to build pipeline of
opportunities and awareness of capabilities.
Serve as an important cross-functional liaison between Ambercycle's
commercial team and other departments including R&D, Marketing
& Communications, Operations, Finance, and Legal.
Represent Ambercycle in the marketplace at various industry
organizations and events.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or related) with 2+ years being a part of
high-performance sales development organization.
A genuine interest and passion for creating the circular textile
economy, ending textile 'waste', and making the world more
sustainable.
Position requires flexibility to travel up to 50%, including
overnight, primarily domestically but also internationally.
Competitive drive and determination with focus on results
orientation.
Very strong team player, ability to work with cross-functional
teams to get results.
Relentless positivity and a desire to be excellent.
Motivated self-starter who can solve problems and work well
independently, and drive initiatives to completion without much
oversight.
