HR LEADER, West Coast
Reporting to the Senior Director, HR, the HR Leader creates proactive solutions to drive and facilitate change, initiatives and continuous improvement projects that improve the HR function and employee experience. This role supports the upcoming West Coast locations and works in all areas of HR such as benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, diversity, inclusion, recruitment, health and safety, policy/procedure interpretation, employee communications, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate can juggle numerous requests on a regular basis. They provide exceptional HR services and guidance to employees, managers and leaders. This individual will also embody and support a welcoming culture within each concept based on PLANTA's vision and values.

Acts as the main contact for driving and leading HR initiatives across multiple US locations with a focus on retention, engagement, culture and recognition.
Coach and counsel leaders through a variety of topics including performance management, progressive discipline, terminations and other issues related to policy and employment law across US locations
Contribute to HR projects, change management initiatives and processes that drive the HR agenda and support the business' goals and objectives.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Leader and HR coordinator on new job offers, system updates and coordinate the onboarding and offboarding programs .
Assist with Job Fairs and Orientation of new restaurant openings -located
Benefits and open enrollment administration
Manage compliance activities to include EEOC, ADA, ACA, WC and FMLA - Creating handbook supplements for new locations within your region
Develop PLANTA Wellness and Perks program with US partners
Deliver trainings and onboarding presentations as required

5+ years progressive HR experience with broad generalist knowledge -- Hospitality and multi-state/location experience required (including California and Colorado)
Preference for individuals who have HR -generalist/business partner -roles
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Travel up to 20% within region upon opening - Hybrid working at home and at the restaurants upon opening
Ability to travel and train in Miami, FL
HRIS ATS systems experience (ADP a plus)
Passion for a start-up environment; comfortable with change and working in a fast-paced/dynamic/high growth environment
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
A guru who can navigate G Suite and fast to learn new applications
Fully understand and embody PLANTA's can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you.
Exceptional time management; proactive with a strong sense of urgency
Proactive problem-solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions
Strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability
You are calm under pressure - you know how to prioritize and get things done, and you persevere through challenges with a good attitude
