This is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor and solve for complex challenges, while charting your own career.Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced product developer, who will create new products for Ruggable alongside a stand out team. The Product Development Manager will work cross-functionally with Product Design, Sourcing, and User Research to create products that solve customer pain points. The Product Development Manager will drive the development of multiple product lines by managing workflows across teams, evaluating materials and components, and turning ambitious product designs into manufacturable products.What You'll Do:

  • Drive the development of multiple product categories from ideation to launch, by working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Create product timelines and manage workflows for sewing, pattern-making, product design, and sourcing, prioritizing projects of highest impact
  • Define technical requirements for each product and identify trims, components, and materials that meet the requirements
  • Evaluate products and components by designing in-house tests to confirm product performance
  • Iterate with overseas suppliers on products to achieve production-ready samples, identifying opportunities for cost-saving or accelerating development
  • Problem-solve across workstreams, remove roadblocks, and create cost-efficiencies
  • Finalize products on time, at or above target margin, while optimizing for cost, quality, business, and customer needsWhat You'll Need to Have:Required:
    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in product development, technical design, product testing, or product design (role can be adjusted for candidates with more or less experience)
    • Proficiency in CAD/Adobe Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with impeccable attention to detail
    • Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills
    • Ability to assess aesthetics and quality of home goods products
    • Ability to lift, assemble, and move large and heavy objects Preferred:
      • Experience in full product lifecycle (ideation to mass production) at startup or enterprise
      • Experience developing physical prototypes by hand or with fabricators
      • Experience with in-house manufacturing
