Like to Build Things?A small, pre-commercial Biotech is developing first-in-class T cell Immunotherapies to fight cancer and rare diseases and is now building out their marketing and analytics teams. With two products to launch over the next 18 months their market cap has grown to 1.6B and their lead product has received FDA Breakthrough Therapy Designation. As we build out the marketing and analytics department the focus is on hiring highly collaborative individuals who want to establish the organization as a leader in the T cell field. Their teams have unusually strong personal chemistry - if you are looking for a ground-floor, strategic opportunity in a rapidly growing Biotech this could be the position for you.
The role:Reporting to the VP of Market Planning, the Associate Director of Analytics & Forecasting will be responsible for a broad range of modeling, forecasting and analytical duties to support launch plans, portfolio prioritization, and business development opportunities. You will create and manage short and long-term global revenue forecast models for a portfolio of unique treatments, collaborating with cross-functional partners in global marketing, market research, medical affairs, R&D, and market access. Other duties include secondary market research, competitive intelligence, market segmentation, and support of sales and marketing operations.
This is a broadly-defined assignment in a small, start-up environment where you will "wear many hats" and serve as an integral part of the strategic planning process. The Associate Director will document and communicate forecast assumptions, presenting and defending recommendations with senior management on a routine basis. In addition to supporting the pipeline planning function you will work closely with colleagues in Business Development to assess licensing and acquisition opportunities. You will also manage vendors on select projects. The global nature of the role may require travel to other company locations in the US and in Europe - overnight travel is estimated at 10%.

  • 6+ years of analytics and forecasting experience in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry, working either for a manufacturer or in management consulting
  • Specific expertise in developing and managing short and long-term revenue forecast models
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Business, Math or the Life Sciences preferred
  • The interest in working in a small, fast-paced environment without the expanded teams and trappings of large pharma
This will be a hybrid-remote work assignment based in either the San Francisco or Los Angeles metro areas. Onsite work requirements will be 2-3 days per week after pandemic restrictions are lifted. We are committed to attracting the best people in the industry and will be one of the leaders in the post-COVID world of flexible work arrangements.
An attractive compensation package for this position includes a highly competitive base salary, an annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and an expanded equity package in the form of restricted stock units and stock options.
This is an opportunity to leverage your technical experience and relationships for something more than a simple paycheck. If this sounds like the type of environment you are seeking at this point in your career, and if your background meets these qualifications, please apply.
