We are seeking a Specialist for the RS-25 Program Management Office to join our facility in Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area). In this role, you will work with the RS-25 Engine Program Manager, Integrated Product Team (IPT) managers and the Business Office to attain program goals. The Specialist will aid in the day-to-day operations of the program office as well as long range planning activity. In this position the Specialist can be training and gaining experience for future program management opportunities. The Specialist will develop key internal and external reviews. Internal reviews will include the Program Review presented to the VP of Space and the Program Operating Team Review (POTR) presented to Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) executive management. External reviews will include periodic reviews to the NASA Liquid Engine Office (LEO) Project Manager, a quarterly review to the NASA MSFC center director, and a quarterly review to NASA Headquarters. Working with the Program Manager, IPT managers and Business Office, the Specialist will develop the presentations, coordinate inputs, and finalize the packages. The Specialist will help the team develop IR&D plans to meet Space Launch System (SLS) and AR needs. This position helps define IR&D strategy, develops the request template package, and presents quarterly updates and status. This position will also aid in developing proposals for future RS-25 related work in response to NASA requests. The Specialist is the Program Management Control Account Manager (CAM) and is responsible for Program Management budget for all CLINs and coordinates closely with Program Management and the Business Office to plan and execute program office activity within contract scope while developing corrective action as needed. Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each) 30% - General Program management support - day-to-day activity and future planning 30% - Develop, coordinate, and present key internal and external program reviews 25% - Program Management Control Account Manager (CAM) 15% - Lead IR&D activity and support proposal efforts SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned. Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with the development of rocket engine systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software required. May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 is a condition of employment at Aerojet Rocketdyne. Proof of vaccination or an accommodation request approved by Aerojet Rocketdyne will be required prior to starting employment with the Company. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. This positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
