Channel Development Manager (Southern California) Posted Date 3 days ago (11/15/2021 3:46 PM) # of Openings 1 Job Locations US-CA-Los Angeles Category Sales Southern California-- The National Channel Manager is a seasoned hunter using experience, knowledge and existing relationships with the Channel to grow opportunities. With the full understanding of the Channel partnership, this role looks for new and creative ways to find subagents who are qualified to sell Masergy products and services. This role will also have a focus on master agents headquartered within the region. Responsible for qualifying subagent's ability to sell Masergy products and services, educates subagents on the Masergy value proposition and Channel Partner lifecycle and commitments. Leads the training and education of subagents on Masergy products and services applicable to their business models all in an effort to activate new partners into the Masergy Channel Program. Collaborates with sales executives to achieve customer satisfaction and revenue targets within assigned territory.-- How you'll make an impact!

  • Meets and/or exceeds sales objectives and quota of senior-level sales professionals.
  • Uses established relationships with Channel and business partners to identify cultivate and procure new and existing business within assigned region.
  • Owns the channel sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying business, demonstrating key advantages, negotiations resulting in the closing of the sale.
  • Networks with senior sales leaders to build and lead region-wide sales plans consistent with company vision.
  • Educates subagents on Masergy products and services, processes, and procedures.
  • Uses experience and knowledge of Masergy and Channel to influence subagents by leading education on company value proposition and establish training timelines and expectations in an effort to activate new Subagents.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define account strategy by highlighting Masergy advantages and influencing technical decision makers.
  • Expands current customer relationships and looks for new and creative ways to identify new customers.
  • Attends trade shows as a representative of Masergy and demonstrate Masergy products to booth customers.
  • Additional duties as assigned. Travel Overnight travel up to 50% Ideal Capabilities and Attributes!
    • Knowledge:
      • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
      • Understands Partner Programs and the critical elements that will drive success.
      • Strong technical knowledge to make presentations and lead partner discussions to advance the sales process.
      • Well versed in Network Services and Unified Communications is required.
      • Skills:
        • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
        • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine; appropriate action.
        • Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
        • Strong Strategic and tactical planning skills required.
        • Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer support.
        • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), GoogleSuite, Salesforce
        • Ability:
          • Influence stakeholders through relationship building and presentations.
          • Proven ability to prioritize, balance, and self-manage multiple simultaneous projects and activities.
          • Demonstrated performance in prior roles with outstanding execution, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity.
          • Works independently and as a team member. Experience:--
            • 3 - 5 years of Channel Management in the Mid to Large Business market segment, including a background managing or working with Partners, with a proven track record of success.
            • Requires previous sales experience where individual was the "hunter" for new business.
            • Requires candidate has established relationships with Partner channels in vertical markets, managed service providers, industry and IT consultants.
