Director of Business Development

Job Summary:
The Director of Business Development is an exempt role that evaluates the marketplace and works with Operating Company (OpCp) leaders to develop strategies to capitalize on marketplace opportunities to grow Allegis business. In addition, successful candidates will have experience closing multimillion-dollar sales engagements and navigating medium to longer term sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes skills, expertise and experience to evaluate the marketplace and work with Operating Company (OpCp) leaders to develop strategies to capitalize on marketplace opportunities to grow Allegis business
  • Engages with OpCo leaders to train them on how to identify and qualify MarketSource business opportunities.
  • Creates and executes a strategy for growing revenue of viable solution offerings
  • Works with OpCo leaders to manage the hand off process for leads from the Allegis OpCo to the appropriate MarketSource Director of Business Development (CCS or Retail)
  • Develops and executes a prospecting strategy to increase visibility of MarketSource solutions at key companies
  • Maintains a robust sales pipeline, achieves target pipeline conversation ratios and deals stage volume
    • Ensures sales, market and competitive information are captured and shared
    • Provides analysis and strategy input for ad-hoc executive management reporting and planning excellent solution sales performance record in medium- and long-term sales cycles
      • Provides leadership, support and education to internal stakeholders in support of key sales initiatives
      • Utilizes customer relationship management processes to manage sales territory, activity, and forecast
      • Documents best practices, case studies and methodologies as it relates to wins in the market.
      • Negotiates and manages client commitments and expectations
        • Develops industry contacts in specific geographic markets
          Decision Making Level:
          • Develops and proposes customer pricing for solutions
          • Negotiates Master Services Agreements
          • Collaborates with Client Services and Finance team to create and negotiate customer SOW's. --
            Minimum Education and/or Experience:
            • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required
            • Experience selling/closing large ($1M+) services solutions with long (6 months +) sales cycles
            • Background in direct/indirect/inside/outside/sales support/lead generation sales environments
            • Previous experience working with Allegis OpCo's
            • Prior leadership experience required --
              Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
              • Capable of developing and navigating strong growth-related relationships at the C-level
              • Ability to identify, position, and close large sales and outsourcing engagements
              • In depth understanding of direct/indirect channel sales strategy, specifically as it relates to IT companies
              • Intimately understands customers' core initiatives and align capabilities and sales message accordingly
              • Ability to present capabilities and solutions to customers
              • Outstanding oral, written and presentation-based communication and interpersonal skills
              • Ability to speak to and motivate groups of people
              • Proven ability to respond to comprehensive and detailed RFP's and customer driven bids
              • Excellent customer service skills
              • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
              • Excellent organization and time management skills
              • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) --
