Our current advanced digital solutions, accessed by millions across web, mobile, and living room devices, signify just the start of our ambitious journey.ABOUT THE ROLEFox is hiring a Manager, Cloud Engineering to manage and own the infrastructure and platform to support live video flows and APIs around our live direct to consumer video APIs for events such as the Super Bowl, World Cup, and World Series. The Manager is a hands-on technical leader, who is responsible for the throughput of Cloud Engineering's broadcast team, implementing and operating the platform. The Manager will need to partner with multiple teams focused on the application, operations, security, and third-party providers to be successful.Collaborative peacemaker with a customer service mindset, the Manager fosters a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the team. The ideal candidate should have excellent cloud engineering, programming, interpersonal, and project management skills.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the implementation and operation of cloud infrastructure as code to ensure secure and stable environments for live video delivery and associated APIs
  • Work closely with Broadcast Engineering, Video & Player Engineering, and 3rd party partners to enable scalability, cost visibility and observability throughout the platform
  • Conceptualize and develop a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team
  • Manage expectations for project and team deliverables, manage stakeholder communications, and effectively track and communicate project status
  • Create visibility and confidence in project delivery timelines, as well as a working environment where the team can be focused, efficient, and creative
  • Proactively identify and implement quality and change control procedures to ensure that all executions are complete, error-free, produced according to established standards and delivered on time
  • Implement on-call and support coverage schedules for live and crown jewel events throughout the year
  • Be fluid and open to change and evolving processes and tools

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Experience working in a large enterprise IT setting
    • Effective experience managing team and individual performance
    • Strong abstract reasoning and ability to understand systems and processes
    • Efficient communication and cross-functional skills, with the ability to engage, listen, and collaborate with internal departments/teams to align from strategy through execution
    • Engineering background with understanding and experience implementing Terraform, Python programming, AWS, cloud concepts, networking, security, and related fundamental technologies
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and visualize workflows
    • A self-starter, able to take initiative and work independently
    • Highly motivated with strong work ethic and an aptitude for problem-solving
    • Collaborative working style and team-player attitude

Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
