Shopventory (www.shopventory.com) is focused on empowering small to medium sized businesses by automating their inventory management and providing powerful business intelligence, so they are able to increase their sales and save time. We've been around for over eight years and have built a great team that collaborates and communicates well in a mostly remote work setting.

Our SaaS app has great traction, with thousands of paying customers while managing over $4 Billion of inventory. We have an office in the Denver Tech Center in Colorado. You can work remotely from anywhere in the US and/or join us in the office.

Job Description

Shopventory is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our team. The person in this position must be a great communicator, be passionate about our industry, like collaborating, and love solving tough problems with great eye for detail. We don't care whether you went to college, but we would like you to have 3-5 years of experience in UX engineering and UI design, ideally in a SaaS environment. We're looking for a fun team member who wants to solve real problems for our customers and wants to take a leadership role in the business.

The Shopventory product is one part of a multi-product strategy for the company. Our customers include boutiques, salons, coffee shops, online merchants, and mobile merchants who sell at trade events such as Comic-Con. The Shopventory platform currently integrates with Shopify, Stripe, Square, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, PayPal, Clover, Google and many others with more integrations on the horizon.

Here's what you would be working on:

  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers, stakeholders and engineers
  • Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences
  • Designing graphical user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
  • Design, prepare and present rough drafts, storyboards and high fidelity mockups to internal teams and key stakeholders for future or current product enhancements
  • Create a UX strategy for current and future products.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Create surveys and conduct user studies to gather feedback on customer's ease of use and satisfaction using company's new, proposed or existing websites and products, and incorporate feedback into appropriate designs and UX.
  • Develop and maintain a company wide design system encompassing things like fonts, colors & images, look & feel

    Requirements

    Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
    • 3-5 Years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design
    • You have a portfolio of design projects
    • Expert knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma)
    • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languages
    • Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Very organized with a high attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind

      Compensation, Perks and Benefits:
      • The salary range for the position is $ 90,000 - $ 120,000 depending on work experience, skills, certifications and education.
