BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic,
results driven " individual to join as a Capacitor Engineer
supporting our Electrification Capacitor Products. This position
will be hired out of our Indiana Technical Campus with locations in
Noblesville and Kokomo, Indiana, but work near Tucson, Arizona with
travel to Indiana on an infrequent basis.
Provide technical leadership and guidance in the development of
advanced passive components specifically capacitors suitable for
power electronics applications including traction drive
Interface with specialty component manufacturers and drive
development of viable solutions from concept to production
Maintain component development roadmaps in line with electrified
powertrain and adjacent product areas
Support design teams for the design and application of
Prepare / Own custom component product specification and
Support design development and test at Tier 2 supplier
Requirements BS Engineering in Electrical / Material sciences
(Masters preferred), other candidates with appropriate background
e.g. other engineering degrees, physics, chemistry or materials
will be considered.
Minimum 8 years industry experience
Subject Matter Expert in capacitors
Automotive experience is preferred
Ability to interface, collaborate and work as an integral team
member in a Tier 2 environment remotely with team members
Knowledge of thin film processes
Familiarity with power electronics products in automotive or
adjacent markets, i.e. industrial, defense, and aerospace
Knowledge and experience relating to volume production / quality
Ability to apply and explore available and emerging computer-aided
Ability to work and constructively engage in a small
multidisciplinary team with Systems, Software, Electrical and
Mechanical engineers focused on the next generation of electric
vehicle electronics development.
10 - 25% travel mostly domestic but some international.

and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to
their immediate supervisor.
