Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Education Accreditation Project Manager will be responsible for organizing and coordinating an effective and efficient Liaison Committee of Medical Education (LCME) accreditation process, working with committees of staff, faculty, students, and leadership, leading up to coordinating the planning and preparation for an LCME site visit in February 2021. As our Project Manager, you will oversee the preparation and timely submission of all required LCME documents, develop a process for monitoring compliance with accreditation standards, and documenting continuous quality improvement initiatives.-- This work will include a substantial amount of editing and writing, making required documents submitted to the LCME clear, coherent, fluent, and of one voice although different sections will be authored by many people. This includes but is not limited to tracking all pertinent LCME requirements, overseeing managing the accreditation process, advising senior leadership on all accreditation requirements and institutional compliance, consulting with deans, faculty, course and clerkship directors, education staff and others regarding various aspects of educational programs and administrative processes as related to accreditation and quality improvement activities. In this role, you will ensure all LCME accreditation requirements are documented and processed in accordance with established timelines, including the completion of annual reporting requirements.-- In collaboration with Medical Education leadership, you will provide oversight and coordination conducting the LCME Institutional Self-Study, including setting timelines, overseeing committee operations, developing reports, and supervising preparation of draft and final submissions of all required documents including the Data Collection Instrument and the Self-Study report. You will also manage the collection, analysis and synthesis of pertinent accreditation and quality improvement data for communication and required reporting to relevant stakeholders, and ensuring accuracy of continuous quality improvement dashboards. QualificationsMaster's degree in education, business, healthcare administration, higher education administration, related health professional or administration field preferred, or equivalent work experience---Familiarity with LCME requirements and site visit preparationExperience in academic medicineProject management experienceOutstanding administrative and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize workloadAbility to work independently with close attention to detailAbility to use independent judgment to solve problemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to diplomatically handle problems and manage conflictAbility to manage confidential material and conversations appropriatelyCommitment to providing excellent customer serviceAbility to lead and manage continuous quality improvement initiativesMastery of project management tools and data visualization toolsExceptional oral communication skills, editing, writing and proofreading skills----------------------------- Proficiency with MS Office products----------------------------- Ability to work effectively with a broad and diverse constituency ----------------------------- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds ----------------------------- Ability to navigate safely between rooms and buildings on campus in short periods of timeUCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
