Lead QA Engineer (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Manhattan Beach, California): Guide engineering teams and manage test environments to support the design and development of tools, platforms, and services for software quality assurance. Specific duties include: establish and contribute to the design and execution of test plans, test cases, and test automation frameworks; document and report overall test results and product quality metrics to stakeholders; work with product and engineering teams to anticipate user experience issues within digital and physical experiences; share technical solutions and product ideas through design review, pair programming, code review and technology discussions; mentor quality assurance engineers; support and oversee functional testing of applications and hardware as well as nonfunctional areas, such as performance and load testing and security testing; perform testing on various hardware and client software platforms, including web, iOS, Android, and Universal Windows applications; guide and contribute to test efforts for cloud-based applications and services and work to meet departmental and project deadlines; and actively contribute to a future-ready, high quality and performant code base. Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eight (8) years of experience performing software quality assurance and testing, including testing mobile apps and APIS on iOS and Android platforms, must include at least three (3) years of experience performing continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD). In lieu of Bachelors degree plus eight (8) years of experience as previously noted, will accept ten (10) years of experience performing software quality assurance and testing, including testing mobile apps and APIS on iOS and Android platforms, which must include at least three (3) years of experience performing continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD). Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section) must possess the following: (i) using mac OS to develop quality assurance tools; (ii) applying quality assurance processes and standards for current use and development of new practices; (iii) managing test environments and developing test scripts and automation frameworks for mobile applications using open source tools including selenium; (iv) collaborating with multiple disciplines, including product development, design, business, and other stakeholders; (v) working in an agile environment by managing rapid iterations and changing priorities within a tight deadline; (vi) performing and overseeing nonfunctional testing, including security, accessibility testing, and performance testing; (vii) using Jira to perform issue tracking and reporting; and (viii) utilizing continuous integration tools such as Jenkins to setup and run QA automation jobs.
