As Sr. Designer, Growth Marketing, you are a passionate advocate for the customer that thoughtfully crafts email designs that strengthen our relationships. In addition, you will play a fundamental role in ensuring Rivian shows up consistently across channels, primarily email. This role can be located in our Northern or Southern California offices or in Seattle and reports directly to a Sr. Manager, Growth Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Concept and craft unique and compelling visual marketing design across a variety of marketing channels (primarily email) that attracts, grows, and retains our audiences
  • Strong visual storyteller that inspires, educates, empathizes, and gently guides customers throughout their entire relationship with Rivian
  • Have a customer-centric approach to everything you do with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform exceptional interactions throughout the customer journey
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and employ technical skills and knowledge for accuracy and consistency in design layout and formatting
  • Collaborate and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive consistency across a wide assortment of complex deliverables through the design and development lifecycle
  • Demonstrates strong storytelling ability, effectively presents work to a broad range of audiences, and autonomously communicates clearly and strategically to all stakeholders
  • Consistently draws connections across Rivian as a source of inspiration and drives creative solutions with the customer in mind
  • Ensure quality and accuracy by proofing own work and revising materials according to feedback
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
    Requirements:
    • 5+ years of experience in marketing design
    • Understanding of marketing platforms, constraints, and trends
    • Experience in customer-centered design methods and techniques
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a proven track record of highly effective collaboration
    • High energy with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
    • Proficient in responsive design layouts, dark mode, device breakpoints, and workarounds for limitations of email clients/browsers
    • Experience in HTML and CSS is a plus
    • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating best-in-class email design
      Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $96,000 - $111,000/yr (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

      Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
