Datapeople helps recruiting teams make more thoughtful and accurate decisions about their recruiting process, from the job posts they write to the data they report on. Come build the public relations function here at Datapeople from the ground up! Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you'll be our first full-time PR professional, which means you'll be involved in everything from defining our earned media strategy and generating publicity to producing memorable activations. We're on a mission to make hiring more fair and as our Public Relations & Experiential Marketing Manager, you'll be integral to helping us shift the predominant narrative in the recruiting world while building Datapeople into a recognizable brand. You will:

  • Contribute to our marketing content and campaign calendars.
  • Identify opportunities to promote our recruiting expertise and philosophies, proprietary research and data (which we have lots of!), product releases, and more to the media and other influencers and gatekeepers in the industry, including at trade events.
  • Determine the best way for us to resource PR and generate press. This could involve pitching stories to media outlets yourself or onboarding and managing a contractor.
  • Secure speaking engagements for our cofounders/c-suite executives and other leaders. Support speakers with content, media training, and the like.
  • Produce branded virtual (and potentially in-person) marketing events as well as activations at sponsored events such as conferences.
  • Ideate and carry out at least one new tentpole initiative that helps build and distinguish our brand (like our own annual conference, awards program, or certification course...but more original because you're good at this!).
  • Manage our brand guidelines to ensure consistency in the way we represent Datapeople internally and externally. This is a remote job and available to all candidates with work privileges currently residing in the United States. You have:
    • 3+ years of PR experience
    • Relationships with journalists
    • Portfolio of work showcasing your skills in at least some of the following areas: storytelling, securing press coverage, event or experiential marketing, guerrilla marketing Our benefits:
