In November2021, Venice Family Clinic merged with South Bay Family Health Care, unitingmore than a century of experience helping patients regardless of their income,insurance or immigration status. The organization now has more than 500 staffwho serve 45,000 people from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay.We have 17 locations plus two mobile clinics and an expansive street medicineprogram for people experiencing homelessness. The GrantWriter is responsible for securing funding for Venice Family Clinic'soperations, capital and endowment needs through prospect research, writing andtimely submission of high-quality, compelling letters of inquiry, proposals andgrant reports to new and existing private foundations and government funders.The Grant Writer will maintain a portfolio of funders and work as part ofgrants team that raises over $3 million annually for Venice Family Clinic. Theposition works closely with fundraising, communications and program staff, aswell as private funders and government contacts.Job Qualifications:A minimum of one year experience ingrant writing, preferably in health or human services - Preferred.Bachelor'sdegree required - Required. Demonstrate a genuineinterest in and knowledge about providing quality health care to medicallyunderserved communities - Required. Outstanding writing, analytical andverbal communication skills - Required. Demonstrated attention to detail,accuracy and organizational abilities - Required. Ability to prioritize and workindependently to meet deadlines - Required. Willingness to work overtime, as work demands - Required. Ability to work productively inpartnership with staff and volunteers - Required. Mastery of basic computer software,applications and functionality including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,email and Internet - Required.
